Kristen Harknett is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley and an affiliate of Berkeley’s Population Center and Institute for Research on Labor and Employment.
Her research focuses on the connections between social contexts – work, family, the economy, and public policies – and the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations. By shedding light on these connections, her research identifies avenues for improving population health and well-being and for reducing stark health inequalities across class, race/ethnic, and gender groups.
This event is cohosted with the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research.
